SustainaBuild has combined its resource management expertise with sustainable development strategies to divert more than 50 million pounds of building materials from landfill, while reducing demolition equipment, labor, disposal transport and fuel costs. Through deconstruction and devolumization of these building materials, large quantities of energy are saved from avoiding the manufacturing of new material and reducing the fuel required to transport the demolition debris to landfill as well as reducing the greenhouse gas emissions to the ozone layer. These emissions are equivalent to those greenhouse equivalent emissions produced from using 1,955 typical gasoline powered vehicles for one year or heating 2.900 homes on natural gas for a year.

The reduced landfill costs alone on these volumes represent millions of dollars saved
